Spec sheet →requests used against the monthly allowance
Some of the outside data in this product is bought by the request. This shows how many requests have been used this month, what they were used for, and how many are left before the product stops asking for more.
status, source, cadence and effort · live panels are already reading BigQuery
Every example section on this site and exactly what information we would need to add before it could show real figures.
| Module | Status | Question it answers | Still outstanding | Cadence | Effort |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Creative intelligence Live section | Live now All five panels live from SGMB_All: hook vs hold scatter, fatigue curve, language performance, best/worst ads, theme performance. | Which creative themes earn attention for Sharjah, and when do they stop working? | Nothing — promoted into the live console. | Daily with the media feed | — |
| Search demand & intent Live section | Live now Live from Gads_keywords: demand capture, theme trend, risers and fallers, market→intent flow, seasonality index. Four further panels read the seeded Google Trends snapshots in Lovable Cloud: interest over time, demand by market, where interest comes from, and rising queries. | Which markets are forming intent about Sharjah, and which intent are they forming? | Nothing — promoted into the live console. | Daily paid data, monthly Trends refresh | — |
| Brand health tracker Phase 2 · Q1 | Needs new data source Fully simulated: perception funnel, attribute profile, funnel waves and attribute gaps. | Is media spend moving people from knowing Sharjah to wanting to visit, live or work here — and where does the funnel leak? | A survey-based brand tracker. There is no open substitute — awareness and preference can only be measured by asking people. | Quarterly wave, monthly interpolation | M — vendor onboarding + questionnaire design |
| Earned media sentiment Phase 2 · Q1 | Partially live Live from GDELT: coverage volume and net tone over time, the Arabic vs English coverage intensity, the coverage themes tagged from recent headlines, and a feed of real Sharjah headlines. Simulated: the platform treemap. | Which perceptions of Sharjah are strengthening in the press, which are dragging, and do Arabic and English outlets agree? | Social listening licence with Arabic NLP (Brandwatch or Talkwalker) — GDELT excludes social platforms entirely. | Daily ingest, weekly review | S — licence + query build |
| Earned media share of voice Phase 2 · Q1 | Partially live Live: our own share of spend from SGMB_All, earned media share of voice and excess share of voice from the GDELT news feed, cultural infrastructure density from OpenStreetMap (point-in-time), and both axes of the voice/spend scatter. Simulated: competitor share of spend and the pillar heatmap. | Are we earning a fair share of coverage for our share of spend in the Gulf destination category? | Competitive spend estimates (Nielsen Ad Intel or Statista) — a paid vendor. Social share of voice needs a listening licence; GDELT covers news only. The pillar heatmap needs one news query per destination per theme, which the free feed will not serve. | Monthly | S — the GDELT news feed already covers the earned side |
| Visitation & footfall attribution Phase 2 · Q3 | Partially live Live: real Google Maps reviews for eight Sharjah venues — ratings, how they move month by month, what visitors praise and complain about, and Arabic against English. Simulated: footfall, geo-lift and cost per incremental visit. | Did the campaign actually put more people inside Sharjah's attractions? | A mobility data vendor. Reviews describe the experience people had; they cannot count how many people came. | Monthly, with lift tests per campaign | L — data licence, privacy review, test design |
| Talent, relocation & earned media Phase 2 · Q2 | Partially live Live: labour demand by emirate and sector from Google Jobs, which pulls together Bayt, GulfTalent, LinkedIn and Indeed, written one monthly reading at a time and never backfilled, plus GDELT coverage volume by outlet, the Arabic vs English mix, the countries recent coverage is published from, and the outlet table. Simulated: publication tier, message pull-through, relocation funnel, employer brand. | Is Sharjah becoming a place people choose to work in — and is the press telling the story we intended? | Media monitoring service for tier and message coding, plus employer-brand research. | Monthly | M — monitoring licence + coding frame |
all four free · two need a key, none needs a licence or a vendor
The free, public sources already connected and working.
GDELT — global news and online media
Free · no keyRead live from the GDELT DOC 2.0 API — no key, no BigQuery, no scheduled query. Verified coverage reaches back to 10 September 2024, so the full 24-month window is available. GDELT asks for roughly one request every five seconds, so calls are sequenced and every response is cached for 12 hours. Excludes social platforms. Language and country timelines are relative intensity within each language's or country's own press, not article counts.
feeds: Earned share of voice, coverage volume and net tone, Arabic vs English intensity, coverage themes, real headlines, outlet table, where coverage originates
Google Trends via SerpApi
Free tier · seededNothing is fetched while somebody is looking at a page. The seed has run: 90 requests wrote 4,164 rows into the Lovable Cloud trends store, five years deep. The refresh is now split — worldwide and UAE every month (20 requests), Saudi, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman every three months (40 a quarter), because those four markets have barely moved. Maps and related searches were seeded once and are not refreshed. Values are relative interest indexed 0–100, never absolute search volume.
feeds: Five-year interest over time, twelve-month demand per market (AE, SA, KW, QA, OM), the country breakdown set against our own share of spend, and rising related queries
Google Maps reviews via SerpApi
Free tier · 8 requests a monthReal reviews for eight Sharjah venues, pulled once a month and added to what is already stored, never duplicated. Each venue was looked up once and its identifier kept, so we never pay to find it again. Reviews are read and sorted for tone by Gemini, in Arabic and English. People choose whether to review, so this describes the experience, not the number of visitors.
feeds: Venue ratings, rating trend, what visitors praise and complain about, Arabic against English, real review text
Google organic results via SerpApi
Free tier · 10 requests a monthThe top ten Google results for ten Sharjah searches, checked from the UAE in English once a month, so we can see whether Sharjah's own websites appear for its own destination terms and who appears instead.
feeds: Who shows up when people search, and which websites dominate each search
Google Jobs via SerpApi
Free tier · 12 requests a monthThree emirates across four sectors, read once a month. Google Jobs gathers Bayt, GulfTalent, LinkedIn and Indeed, so it is broader than any single job board. Each posting carries how long ago it was advertised, so freshness is visible from the first reading. Measures labour demand, not relocation intent.
feeds: Labour demand by emirate, sector breakdown, Sharjah's share of UAE postings
OpenStreetMap — Overpass API
Free · no keyNo auth, but rate limited and slow, so it is queried once and cached for 30 days. Point-in-time only: OSM has no usable history for these tags, so no trend can be shown. Volunteer-mapped, so it counts what is mapped rather than what exists. The POI filter is identical across the three emirates and was not tuned to flatter Sharjah.
feeds: Cultural infrastructure density: raw counts and counts per 100k residents

what to buy first, and what can wait
A suggested order for adding the missing sources, cheapest and most useful first.
Phase 2 · Q1
M — vendor onboarding + questionnaire design
S — licence + query build
S — the GDELT news feed already covers the earned side
Phase 2 · Q2
M — monitoring licence + coding frame
Phase 2 · Q3
L — data licence, privacy review, test design
Listening, share of voice and search demand are the cheapest to stand up and can run within a quarter on licences alone. Creative intelligence needs a tagging taxonomy agreed with the agencies before the data is worth reading. Visitation is the heaviest lift — mobility data carries a privacy review and the geo-lift tests have to be designed into campaign plans before they launch, not after.
